Friend code rules

How it works

• When you sign in, you get your own friend code: 4 letters and numbers, such as 7A3K. You find it on My account.
• Tell a friend about brightTV. They go to brighttv.com.au and sign in for the first time.
• Your friend types your code when they sign in for the first time.
• Once your friend has watched any video for at least 1 minute, you both get one catalogue voucher.

Who counts as a friend

• someone who is new to brightTV and adds your code within 7 days of their first sign-in
• someone who has not already added a friend code: each person can add only one, and it cannot be changed
• someone other than you: your own code, a second account of yours, or a code typed on a device you have used does not count

Limits

Up to 10 friends can use your code. After that, your code stops working for new friends, but you can keep watching everything.

There is only one level. You get a voucher for each friend who uses your code, and nothing when their friends join.

Your voucher

Each voucher is worth [Voucher value] off an order of [Minimum order for a voucher] or more from the [Catalogue partner name] catalogue. It lasts [How long a voucher lasts].

[Catalogue partner name] sends your voucher with the next catalogue, or takes it off your next phone order when you give your customer number. When it is on its way, My account says "Your voucher is on its way with the next catalogue."

Fair play

We may refuse or cancel a voucher if codes are used unfairly, for example with made-up accounts or many accounts for one person. A person checks these cases. If two accounts turn out to be the same person, only one voucher counts.

Changes and ending the offer

The friend code offer ends on [Date the friend code offer ends]. We may change these rules or end the offer sooner, but we will put a note on My account first. Vouchers already earned will still be sent.
